These General Terms & Conditions of Sale apply to purchases made from PlantsNDesigns through plantsndesigns.com. By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the policies below.

Products & Natural Variation

PlantsNDesigns offers live plants and curated vintage merchandise.

Live plants are natural, living products. Each specimen is unique and may vary slightly in height, shape, foliage, coloration, branching, and overall form from the photographs shown.

Grower pot sizes are approximate nursery trade measurements and may vary slightly. Overall plant height is measured from the bottom of the grower’s pot to the highest point of the plant.

Vintage merchandise consists of items that are over 20 years old and may show age-related wear, patina, surface variation, or other characteristics consistent with their age and history. These characteristics are described and photographed to the best of our ability and are part of the unique nature of vintage goods.

Pricing, Payment & Sales Tax

All prices are shown in U.S. dollars.

Applicable shipping charges and sales tax are calculated and displayed during checkout. Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving the complete order total before submitting payment.

Shipping of Live Plants

Live plants are generally shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays to help reduce the possibility of plants remaining in carrier facilities over a weekend.

Large plants may be shipped individually to help protect their foliage, canopy, and overall condition during transit.

During cold-weather periods, please check your local 10-day forecast before completing your purchase. If temperatures are expected to reach 47°F or below, a Winter Pack is required to help protect your plant during transit.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for monitoring tracking information once an order has shipped.

Receiving Your Live Plant

Live plant packages should be opened and plants removed from their packaging promptly upon delivery.

The customer must inspect the plant and notify PlantsNDesigns of any significant shipping damage, cold damage, or a plant arriving dead within 24 hours of confirmed carrier delivery.

This 24-hour notification period allows PlantsNDesigns to reasonably assess the condition of the plant upon arrival. Leaving a living plant boxed for an extended period after delivery may cause additional stress or deterioration unrelated to its original transit condition.

Claims submitted after the 24-hour notification period may not be eligible for review.

Photographs of the plant, packaging with the shipping label, shipping box, and any visible damage may be requested in order to evaluate the claim.

Live Plant Final Sale Policy

All live plant sales are final.

PlantsNDesigns does not accept returns of live plants except when a plant arrives dead or materially damaged in transit and PlantsNDesigns has been notified within the required 24-hour period.

Because plants are living agricultural products, once a plant leaves our controlled growing environment, its subsequent exposure to pests, pathogens, weather, environmental conditions, and handling cannot be verified. For biosecurity and agricultural-compliance reasons, returned plants cannot be reintroduced into our greenhouse environment.

Any refund, replacement, or other remedy relating to a qualifying transit-damage claim will be determined after review of the information and photographs provided.

Winter Protection

When temperatures in the customer’s local 10-day forecast are expected to reach 47°F or below, a Winter Pack is required.

The Winter Pack includes additional insulation and a 96-hour heat pack intended to help protect the plant during cold-weather transit.

If a required Winter Pack is declined under these conditions, PlantsNDesigns cannot guarantee the plant against cold damage or death caused by low temperatures during transit.

A Winter Pack helps reduce cold-weather risk but cannot guarantee protection against extreme temperatures, prolonged carrier delays, or other circumstances outside PlantsNDesigns’ control.

Care After Delivery

Once a plant has been successfully delivered and received in satisfactory condition, the customer assumes responsibility for its continued care, including watering, light, temperature, humidity, placement, and other environmental conditions.

Damage or decline resulting from care conditions after delivery is not considered shipping damage.

Carrier Delays

PlantsNDesigns carefully schedules and prepares live-plant shipments; however, carrier transit times and delays are outside our direct control.

Customers should monitor tracking information and make arrangements to receive and unpack live plants promptly upon delivery.

If a carrier delay results in a plant arriving materially damaged or dead, PlantsNDesigns must be contacted within 24 hours of confirmed delivery so the plant’s condition can be reviewed.

Soil Amendments and Plant-Care Products

PlantsNDesigns soil amendments and other plant-care supplies are packaged for plant use and are not intended for human or animal consumption. Please keep these products away from children and pets, and store opened packages sealed in a cool, dry place.

Because soil and soil-based products can be exposed to contamination after leaving our possession, PlantsNDesigns cannot accept returns of soil amendments once the package has been handed to the carrier. This applies to both opened and unopened packages.

If an order arrives damaged or contains an incorrect item, please contact PlantsNDesigns promptly with the order number and clear photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label so the issue can be reviewed.

An order may be canceled while the package remains in PlantsNDesigns’ possession. Once the package has been handed to the carrier, it can no longer be canceled.

Shipping and processing times, shipping days, and any applicable shipping charges are shown on the applicable product or checkout page.

Vintage Merchandise — Final Sale

All vintage merchandise sales are final. No returns or exchanges are accepted.

Vintage merchandise is sold based on the photographs, measurements, condition notes, and descriptions provided. Normal signs of age, patina, surface wear, and other characteristics consistent with an item’s age should be expected unless otherwise stated.

Customers are encouraged to carefully review all photographs, measurements, condition notes, and descriptions before purchasing.

If a vintage item arrives damaged due to apparent shipping mishandling, please contact PlantsNDesigns promptly.

Photographs of the item(s), packaging with the shipping label, shipping box, and any visible damage may be requested in order to evaluate the damage and proceed with a shipping claim.

Order Accuracy

Customers are responsible for reviewing the selected product, variation, optional add-ons, quantity, shipping information, delivery address, and final order total before completing checkout.

Optional products and seasonal protection products are charged only when selected by the customer.

Limitation of Responsibility

PlantsNDesigns is not responsible for damage resulting from circumstances occurring after successful delivery, including improper plant care, failure to promptly remove a plant from its packaging, unsuitable temperatures after delivery, incorrect watering or placement, or other environmental conditions outside PlantsNDesigns’ control.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any customer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

PlantsNDesigns may update these General Terms & Conditions of Sale from time to time. The terms applicable to an order are those in effect at the time the order is placed.
